Sarine has been dancing since the age of 2 and started her dance training studying tap, ballet and jazz. In 2010 she completed her full-time Certificate IV in Performing Arts at Urban Dance Centre and has travelled Los Angeles, New York, France, Netherlands, UK, Portugal, Spain and Jamaica and Australia learning and specializing in the styles of authentic Jamaican Dancehall, Afrobeat inspired cultural dances as well as various style of Hip Hop.

Sarine’s classes focus on cultural understanding of the foundational dances and it’s origins, as well as tuning in on movement quality and intricate musicality. Sarine’s classes will introduce and challenge dancers to a brand-new vocabulary which originates from social dancing incorporating foundations from many styles in which she has trained in over her dance studies.
Sarine aims to inspire and introduce the infectious joy that comes with social dancing, enabling students to find themselves in such free-spirited movement. Sarine promotes dance as an expression which is for everyone, regardless of experience or age.
Sarine holds a Bachelor of Dance and Physical Education with her Diploma in Teaching at the Australian College of Physical Education, has taught at various full-time institutions including Lee Academy of Performing Arts on the Central Coast and is currently a teacher and assessor for VCE Dance in Victoria. She also has worked with various Doctor of Chiropractic, teaching concepts of movement to chiropractic doctors at the chiropractic training retreats to help enhance their practice with clients.
Sarine has recently relocated to Melbourne and is excited to dance and share with the dance community here.

Student’s can expect to warm up to some grooves, then build it into a choreo. Will use a lot of dancehall grooves, afro grooves and house footwork as foundation to build a choreo.
